The Glasgow SF Writers' Circle, (GSFWC) are presenting "Word Dogs", a reading of short work by GSFWC and friends.

It will be on Thursday 13th April in the Ingram Bar on Queen Street in Glasgow from 8.00pm.

Anyone who gets this and who is going to be in Glasgow the day before Eastercon starts is most welcome.

Anyone who would like to take part in the reading, please let me know. Stories or poetry up to 1500-2000 words, and we've saved a third of the programme for guests.

I've just got an email through inviting me to be on two panels at Eastercon. First reaction - bloody hell! Why me? Second reaction is that I'm chuffed and will happily play, but the reason for the first is that I have zero profile as a writer, a fan or any other kind of SFnal fixture. I know more or less how wide my audience is for these rantings, and apart from joining in at Writer's Bloc, that's it for public exposure.

I have a good idea who put me up for this though. Fair enough, I did volunteer to do something, I just wasn't expecting this.

Another reason for the reaction is that three writers that I like a lot have also been invited to be on the panels. Wheee!
