A comment on a discussion on truepenny's LJ about genre annoyed me; here is my response.

There are two genres: there is "shite" which covers everything that is, well, shite; and "quality" which is anything which isn't shite.

I actually like all of the trilogy, but as far as I'm concerned, it's the trilogy. I've heard enough about the prequels that they can stay in some parallel universe where they were made by the same George Lucas who did *the* Star Wars, not his many years older and not-wiser clone.
