That said, I felt very good; comfortable and right, if you know what I mean. I certainly got a lot of smiles from both friends and strangers. It's possible that this came over, which would help a lot.

I don't think I've ever taken a poor shot of you, not that I've taken many or that any but one have survived. A lot of the problem with not photographing well does come from the photographer. There are skills of timing, observation and composition that make a subject either look good or not. Bob is good, and so am I; although neither of us is a pro photographer, we're both willing to spend money on kit and know that it isn't an extravagance.

I really have to start putting stuff up on Flickr.
