I'm afraid I got caught by the reading bug and stayed up late on Monday night to finish HP. As a result I've been zombie-like for the last couple of days and so you see the woeful result. What the hell, it's another thousand words. Still not convinced that any of it's worth anything, though, but I'm putting it down, after which I'll make sense of it.
As to the Rowling tome, I'm as underwhelmed as with the last one although in different ways. I still think that Azkaban has been the best. I suspect that that was the last one that got edited anywhere near as much as it needed to be. This one seemed to take the things that had made the previous ones good, the incident and colour, as read, but didn't replace them with anything else. It felt like a middle-of-the-trilogy book.
